👉🏼Like any company engaged in financial transaction activity, Leetchi is subject to banking regulations.
Since October 2019 our platform has been approved as a payment service provider. This complements the admission as an intermediary in crowdfunding (IFP, registered with the ORIAS). Therefore, our platform is under the supervision of the Authority of Prudential Control and Resolution (ACPR). As part of this control, we are obliged to identify the creator of a money pot once it has reached the amount of 200 £ / 250 € before a request of a bank transfer can be validated.
👉🏼 More specifically: in case a money pot (or the sum of all the money pots you created) reaches the amount of 200 £ / 250€, the identity document of the creator, respectively the beneficiary, will be required to proceed with the validation of the bank transfer request.
You can also upload your identity document to your personal Leetchi.com profile right after creating a money pot.
⚙️ And if I am not the beneficiary of the transfer?
👉🏼 You would like to transfer your money pot to the account of a third party? No problem, you can directly upload the beneficiary’s identity document at the time of the bank transfer request, when entering the bank details. Do not forget to ask the beneficiary in advance for the identification document and the bank details to save time during your bank transfer request.
